Keira Knightley is all set to swap the screen for the stage as she takes on a female lead in a West End play. We hear she will play an over-sexed Hollywood actress in a modern-day version of the 17th century novel, The Misanthrope by Moliere. She will star alongside the lovely Damian Lewis, but she is keen to play down the part, ensuring it isn’t all about ‘Keira’. Director Thea Sharrock told the Daily Mail, “She’s the leading lady because she has the biggest female role, but she’s not the lead part. This is Damian’s show” If you want to catch Keira you will have to wait a while, The Misanthrope will not officially open at the Comedy Theatre in London until December 17.
